Patient data and PDF reports
Find a patient, compare images over time and export a PDF for the care record.
What this is: how to manage patient records in ProEX and export a PDF report.
Who it’s for: nurses, health workers and coordinators who document virtual care sessions.
Find a patient
- On the ProEX home screen, click Open Patient.
- Search for the patient, or pick them from the list.
- Click the patient to see their record and session history.
What’s in the patient record
- Demographics. Click View Profile to edit.
- Patient notes.
- Data types, showing what media and notes the patient has.
- View All Media to compare images side by side. Use this to track a wound or skin condition over time.
- Create Session to start a new exam for this patient.
- Sessions, listed in date order.
Work with a session
Open a session to:
- read the session information and note
- Import Media such as images, audio or video
- Add Readings for vital signs you took another way
- tick items to export or delete
- export individual items to a folder or USB.
Export a PDF report
- Open the patient record and tick one or more sessions.
- Click Export to PDF.
- The PDF saves to the ProEX folder on the computer.
You can then print it, attach it to the care record or upload it to your EHR in line with your policy.
To choose a different save location, change the Disable USB Export setting under Settings > Configuration > Usability. If you are unsure which setting your organisation uses, ask your IT team or Visionflex support.
Keep it private
- Move the PDF into the care record, then delete the copy from the computer.
- Don’t email PDFs outside approved, secure channels.
- Keep the ProEX Clinician account password private, and lock the screen when you step away.
