Power Cell 600 user guide

Run, charge and care for the Power Cell 600 battery on your virtual care cart.

What this is: how to use and look after the Power Cell 600 battery that lets your cart run away from a power point.

Who it’s for: champions, nurses and facility staff who move and charge the cart.

At a glance

Item Detail
Battery 268.8 Wh (12 Ah) lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4)
AC output 600 W (1200 W surge), 220 to 240 VAC
Weight 4.6 kg
Charge in 0°C to 40°C

Turn it on and off

  • On: press and hold the AC Power button for 1 second. The button lights green, the screen turns on and power flows to the cart.
  • Off: press and hold the AC Power button until the green light and screen turn off.

Charge it

  1. Plug the Power Cell and the cart into a standard wall power point.
  2. Charging starts automatically.

The Power Cell can charge and run the cart at the same time. Plug it in whenever the cart is parked.

UPS bypass mode. If the Power Cell is plugged into the wall when you turn on its AC output, the screen shows UPS. Wall power then runs the cart and charges the battery together.

Look after the battery

  • Recharge when the battery drops to about 20%. This extends its life.
  • If the cart won’t be used for a while, turn the Power Cell off and unplug it.
  • For long-term storage, charge it to about 80% every 3 to 6 months.
  • Clean it with a dry cloth only.
  • Store it between -10°C and 45°C. Don’t stack anything on it.

Safety

  • Use the Power Cell only with Visionflex approved carts and accessories. Don’t use it to power other appliances.
  • The Power Cell is not medical grade and is not certified to IEC 60601-1. Don’t use it in operating theatres, ICUs or other critical care settings, or near devices that need IEC 60601 compliance.
  • Keep it away from liquids, heat and flammable materials. Use it on a stable, level surface with good airflow.
  • Don’t open, modify or repair it yourself. This voids the warranty.
  • If it malfunctions, turn it off straight away and contact Visionflex support.
