Use the wireless ultrasound

Connect the SONON wireless ultrasound and share the scan on a Vision call.

What this is: how to connect the wireless ultrasound and share the live scan with a remote clinician.

Who it’s for: clinicians and health workers trained in point of care ultrasound.

Power on

  1. Press and hold the power button until the ultrasound turns on. A white light shows beside the button.
  2. After about 30 seconds, the WiFi button glows green. This means the ultrasound is broadcasting its own network.
  3. If it doesn’t glow green, press the WiFi button.

Connect the software

  1. Open SONON X from the desktop.
  2. Log in with the credentials supplied with your device. If you don’t have any, select Sign Up.
  3. When connected, the ultrasound’s network name shows at the top right of the screen.

If the network name doesn’t show, open Windows network settings and connect to the SONON300C network using the security key supplied with your device.

Virtual care stations and ProEX Mobile have two Wi-Fi adapters. One connects to the ultrasound and the other to the internet, so you stay on the call while scanning.

Scan and share

  1. In SONON X, click Start Scan.
  2. In the Vision call, click Screenshare.
  3. Select Window, choose the SONON X window and click Share.
  4. To stop, click Stop Sharing.
