ProEX Exam Mode

Capture readings, images and notes from your clinical devices and save them to the patient.

What this is: how to use Exam Mode in ProEX, the clinical examination software on your virtual care station.

Who it’s for: nurses and health workers capturing readings and images during a consult.

Start ProEX

If you minimise ProEX during a call, it shows as a blank white box to the other participants. This protects patient information.

ProEX has two accounts.

  • Administrator: for managing accounts and settings only. Use the default passcode supplied with your station the first time, then set a strong password when prompted. Don’t use this account for consults.
  • Clinician: for everyday use. You can rename it under Settings > Accounts.

Use Exam Mode

The clinical devices that came with your station are already paired. Start an exam with one device or several.

  • Readings appear automatically when the device sends them. Click Capture Reading to keep one.
  • Enter values manually if a device isn’t connected.
  • Customise the view. Click + to add an observation or x to remove one. Click a tile to focus on it.
  • Import media such as images, PDFs, audio or video.
  • Add a note with Show note.

Everything you capture goes to the Gallery until you save it.

Save the session

  1. Click Gallery and review what you captured. Remove anything you don’t need.
  2. Click Save Session.
  3. Choose a New or Existing patient.

Saved sessions sit in the patient’s record in date order. See Patient data and PDF reports.
