Work with clinical images in the Gallery
Take snapshots during a call, mark them up together and save what you need.
What this is: how to capture still images during a Vision call and use the Gallery to review and mark them up with the clinician.
Who it’s for: anyone running or joining a Vision consult.
Take a snapshot
Click the snapshot button on any video window. The image goes to the session’s media library.
This works on any feed, including the patient camera and the examination camera.
Open the Gallery
Click More (…), then Gallery.
What you can do in the Gallery
- Open an item for everyone. Select an image and it opens for all participants in whiteboard (telestration) mode.
- Mark it up. Choose a paintbrush colour, add shapes or text, and erase marks.
- Select and resize part of an image, or move a selection.
- Create a blank canvas to draw or explain something.
- Upload a document or open an image from your computer to discuss on the call.
- Undo and redo changes.
- Save selected files to your computer.
- Delete an image or file.
Save before you close
Vision deletes snapshots, chat and files when the session closes. If an image belongs in the clinical record, save it before you leave the call.
For clinical images you want to keep against the patient, capture them in ProEX instead. ProEX saves them to the patient’s record so you can compare them over time and export them in a PDF. See Use clinical cameras in Exam Mode.
Privacy
- Save images only to approved locations, such as your care record or ProEX.
- Don’t leave clinical images on the desktop, in Downloads or on a personal device.
- Delete local copies once they are in the record.
